Sketch Day Assen, Drenthe (non Connect event)

From Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 September, Warenhuis Vanderveen (Vanderveen Department Store) will be running wild. For four days there will be demonstrations, workshops, competitions, live performances, giveaways, tastings and many children's activities in the Asser department store! At every shop there is something to see or do.

Now it would be nice if a large group of Urban Sketchers could come to Assen on Saturday September 24 to draw at various outdoor locations in the city during Sketch Day Assen. (If the weather is too bad to draw outside, you can alternatively draw inside the department store.)

The program (subject to change) is as follows:

From 10:00 a.m. reception in Kunstcafé Schurer on the top floor of the department store
10:45 am guided tour of Assen center in collaboration with the VVV along drawing places that Urban Sketchers will appreciate
12:15 pm buffet lunch
13:00 p.m. – 16:00 p.m. drawing in a place of your choice
16:15 pm While enjoying a snack and a drink in the Gallery of the Drents Schildersgenootschap on the second floor, view and discuss each other's work.
