Day Trips in Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe, Online Session with Rachel Heller

Connect International Event

Date: Thursday 7 May 2020 at 17:00 hrs

Location: ONLINE (via Zoom)

Members Price: Free!

Non-Members Price: Free!

Right now, we have to stay home, or at most we can take a walk close to home. International travel may not be possible for many months. It seems likely, though, that local travel will be possible pretty soon: perhaps this summer.

This online session will include lots of destinations for day trips in Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe provinces. If you’re interested in art, history, industry – anyone want to visit a bell foundry? – nature, transportation, or really just about anything, there’s a place to see it in these three provinces. Many of these sights are particularly well-suited for visiting with children as well.

The session will have a question and answer format. Please feel free to prepare and ask any questions you have on the topic of things to see in the northern provinces.

Bio: Rachel Heller, originally from the US, is a travel writer at Rachel’s Ruminations and has lived in Groningen for more than 20 years.
