Sing the Dutch national anthem this Kings Day
On April 27th the Dutch celebrate King’s Day (‘Koningsdag’). It celebrates the king’s birthday and all things Dutch. Usually the streets are decked out in orange bunting, with street markets and entertainment, but this year, due to social distancing measures, we have to celebrate Kings Day from home. And how better to do it than a national sing-along!

Due to the ongoing government measures to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus, all face-to-face Connect International events have been cancelled.
However the Connect International team has been very busy over the last month to arrange events that you can attend online. Below is an overview of some of the online events. For more, check our events calendar.
UPDATE :: From 1st June Connect International will be restarting some face-to-face events, in accordance with the governmental measures.

FietsFriend – “Rules of the Road” workshop
Aside from being one of the most energy-efficient forms of transport, cycling is a wonderful way to keep fit and is an incredibly cheap way to travel locally. Luckily, too, within most cities in the Netherlands, it is the quickest way around the city centre. In Groningen, for example, two-thirds of all journeys taken are by bike, and in the 1970’s the city decided to re-design the city centre in favor of bikes rather than cars.
